In advance of the project, DANSK TEKNOLOGI carried out an analysis of the potential for innovation in dosing pumps. After a thorough analysis of existing pumps and typical applications it was clear that there was a need for and possibilities to add new valuable properties. The work was carried out in an integrated project with overlapping phases. Patent Pending The groundbreaking technology is protected by application of five different patents in all major industrial countries. Technology Traditional dosing pumps use electromagnets as a power source, which makes precise adjustment difficult. In the new pumps a stepping motor is used, allowing full electronic control of the pump diaphragm, precise dosing and less pulsation. The pump is easy to install and easy to handle, e.g. the actual dosing can be read on a display. The largest pump is able to precisely dose from 48 ml/hour to 48 litre/hour. This dynamic range (1:1000) is ten times better than for a traditional dosing pump. This also means that customer's with a need for several different capacities need fewer models in stock. The choice between a side-fitted or a front-fitted control panel assures easy access to the panel and a clear view of the display - no matter how the pump is mounted. The digital technology also makes it possible to control the dosing pumps via network.
